Every other tech gift arrives as a chore: accounts, downloads, updates, and a blank screen asking what to type. A NicNac Christmas system arrives as a person - built, configured, and loaded for the one person receiving it, with their own AI installed and greeting them by name on first boot.
The short answer: reservations are open for the first NicNac Christmas production run. Four systems - Spark $999 for students and family, Create $1,499 for writers, musicians, and serious creators, Pro $2,499 for professionals, and the Entrepreneur Box $6,499 for someone starting a business. Every system is built to order and configured for its person before it ships. Reserving costs nothing: tell us who it is for, and we confirm the order with you in writing before any payment.
Why a system, not a subscription
A gift card to a chatbot rents a stranger's computer, in a stranger's building, under a stranger's rules - and the learning curve is part of the gift. A NicNac system is theirs. The AI runs on the machine itself, in their house, so their drafts, photos, schoolwork, and questions do not have to leave the house to get help. We source the components at the day's best price, assemble the machine, load the models, set up their accounts and files, and write the gift card with your message. They plug in one cable and they are working.
The four systems
- NicNac Spark - $999. For students, family, and a first AI computer. An everyday assistant for homework, writing, email, and research, on a school-and-home profile with family-safe defaults. Includes a 30-minute welcome call and 90 days of NicNacCare.
- NicNac Create - $1,499. For writers, authors, musicians, and serious students - the creators and hobbyists. A creative partner that handles long drafts, books, lyrics, and analysis, set up with creator workflows for drafting, editing, and publishing prep. Includes a 60-minute setup and training call and 12 months of NicNacCare.
- NicNac Pro - $2,499. For professionals, business owners, and developers. Workstation-class AI for deep reasoning, code, and large document sets, with a professional workflow pack. Includes a 90-minute setup and training call, a 30-day priority line, and 12 months of NicNacCare Priority.
- NicNac Entrepreneur Box - $6,499. For someone starting or running a business: a Pro-class core plus the office system - network kit and an AI front desk configured for their business, ready to plug in at the office.
Not sure which one fits? The reservation asks four short questions about who it is for and what they will do with it, and we recommend a tier in writing before you pay. If we open the box and it is the wrong tier, unopened systems swap within 14 days at no restocking fee.
The honest dates
- Order by Wednesday, December 9 - standard build, ground shipping, arrives by Christmas.
- Order by Monday, December 14 - expedited build and shipping (expedite fee at cost, shown before you confirm), arrives by Christmas.
- Tuesday, December 22 - Jacksonville-area hand delivery, from bench stock, while it lasts.
- December 15-24 - the Digital Gift: a printed or emailed gift certificate naming the system and your message lands on Christmas morning, with a welcome session the week after Christmas; the system itself is built first in the January queue.
What we will not pretend
No NicNac hardware has shipped yet. The Christmas cohort is our first production run, capped at the number of systems our bench can build, bench-test, and ship well - when the run fills, reservations move to the Digital Gift and the January queue, and we will say so on this page. Prices are confirmed in the written order before billing; component models are named at order time. Nothing about that is a footnote. It is how every order works.

Does reserving charge me anything?
No. A reservation opens the conversation. We confirm the tier, the components, and the price with you in writing before anything is billed.
Does the AI need the internet to work?
The assistant runs on the machine itself, so everyday help works in the house. Setup, updates, and the welcome call use a connection; the person's documents do not have to leave the house to get AI help.
What if I miss the December 9 cutoff?
The honest next branch opens: expedited through December 14, Jacksonville hand delivery on December 22, and the Digital Gift through Christmas Eve. We never take an order on a "maybe it will make it."
Who stands behind it after Christmas?
We do. Every system includes NicNacCare (90 days on Spark, 12 months on Create and Pro) and a real setup call with a person - not a 1-800 number.
