Reservations, Not Shelf Stock: How the Christmas Systems Are Built

Most computer sellers move boxes off a shelf. We build a system for a named person, with their work already on it when it arrives. That takes a different way of selling, and we would rather explain it than hide it.

The short answer: a NicNac system is reserved, then built to order and configured for its owner — it is never pulled from a shelf of identical stock. The line, at the prices filed October 28, 2026: Spark $999 · the AI Studio package $1,499 · Pro $2,499 · Entrepreneur Box $6,499. Your price, your configuration, and your delivery window are confirmed in writing before you pay anything.

Why a reservation, and not a warehouse

A shelf rewards the seller: buy cheap, stack deep, move units before the season ends. A reservation rewards the buyer. Because each system is built after it is ordered, nothing about it is a compromise made for a warehouse — the machine is assembled for the work it will actually do, loaded with the NicNac system, and configured from its owner's own assessment: their subscriptions, their workflows, the way they like to be helped. Two owners with the same tier do not receive the same computer. They receive the same standard, fitted to two different lives.

It also keeps us honest about stock. A page that says "in stock" for a machine that has not been built is a small lie told at scale. Our pages say what is true: this is built to order, here is the order it is built in, and here is the window we commit to in writing before money moves.

The four systems, plainly

Spark, $999 — the entry system: a complete NicNac machine with Beam set up and working from the first power-on. The AI Studio package, $1,499 — the Create-class machine with custom software built for the customer: hardware and software as one entry, for the person whose work needs something made, not just installed. Pro, $2,499 — the fuller working system for a business that runs on it all day. Entrepreneur Box, $6,499 — the top of the line, built for an owner whose whole operation rides on the machine. Every tier is configured, not just shipped: the system arrives knowing whose it is.

Written confirmation before any payment

The order of operations is a promise, and it does not bend for the Christmas rush. You reserve. We confirm the configuration, the total price, and the delivery window in writing. Only then is payment taken, and only for what was confirmed. If the window we can honestly keep is not the window you need, you hear that from us before you pay — never after. A Christmas gift bought on a promise we cannot keep is not a sale we want; it is a disappointment we scheduled.

That is the whole model: reservations, not shelf stock. Slower to describe than a buy button, and worth it — because the box that arrives is not a computer with software on it. It is somebody's system, built for them, that starts working the day it is opened.
